About Shauna

She knew she wanted to be a photographer when she was eight years old. Her brother built a darkroom in their garage and that was the beginning of her career.

She photographed college and professional sports for Associated Press (AP), United Press International (UPI), and news and sports for the Kansas City Star and Times.

After graduating from the University of Kansas with a Bachelors of Science degree in Photojournalism, she moved to the west coast where she continued her work for The Los Angeles Times, The Orange County Register, and the Orange Coast Daily Pilot. She has also completed corporate work for Arco Oil Company, and Freelance projects for various companies in the surfing, snowboard and apparel industry.

She now resides on beautiful Catalina Island with her family, and has established a successful photography business. Specializing in Wedding and portrait photography with the beautiful Catalina Island serving as the backdrop to wonderful memories.
